Pronouns: she/her/they/them
Clinical sexology

Maëliss has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Université de Montréal and is a candidate for a master's degree in clinical sexology at UQÀM. They have always been fascinated by human beings, in all their complexity and richness. It was during their bachelor's degree in psychology that they discovered their passion for sexology and that they decided to reorient themselves towards this field.

Through their academic and professional career, they had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents and adults. More specifically, Maëliss has worked in the education sector, with neurodivergent people and populations living with different mental health issues. As part of the 2SLGBTQIAP+ communities, their life and work experiences in the queer community have led them to want to continue to dedicate themselves to their community through their future practice in psychotherapy. Neurodivergence, sexual violence and intersectionality are also subjects of particular interest to them.

As part of their internship at Mestra, Maëliss offers individual psychotherapy according to the psychodynamic approach. Through this approach, they seek to understand your difficulties, while respecting your pace and the narrative you have made of your experience. At the heart of their practice, the therapeutic alliance occupies an essential place and, during your journey, they wish to provide a caring space where no topic is off the table.

For record keeping, Maëliss trusts:
